A court service officer received assistance with home visits. Assistance was provided to Social and Rehabilitation Services personnel with a call.
Dec. 30: Radar was run on North Cedar Street.
Dec. 31: Two reports of criminal damage to property were filed. Emergency medical services personnel received assistance with a call. A dog was picked up for running at-large. Marion County Sheriff’s Department received assistance with a non-injury accident. An officer met with a citizen regarding a child custody case. An arrest was made for driving while under the influence.
Jan. 1: Kansas Highway Patrol received assistance with locating a person involved in an accident. An open business door was located and secured.
Jan. 2: An officer met with a concerned citizen. Assistance was provided to the sheriff’s department with a vehicle in a ditch at U.S. 56/77 intersection.
Jan. 3: A domestic dispute call resulted in an individual being arrested. Response was given to a second domestic dispute, which also resulted in an arrest.
Jan. 4: Criminal damage to a property was reported. An officer met with a citizen regarding a child custody matter.
Jan. 5: Officers patrolled school zones. Radar was run on North Cedar Street. A welfare check was made on a dog.
Jan. 6: Officers patrolled school zones. Reports were filed. Officers attended a meeting. Response was given to a gas skip at a convenience store.
Thursday: School zones were patrolled. Response was given to the 600 block of South Cedar Street when possible gunshots were reported. Assistance was provided to a motorist who was stuck in the snow on Kellison Street. Streetlights were checked.
Friday: School zones were patrolled. Response was given to an activated fire alarm at OASIS. Response was given to a dog running at-large. A narcotic search warrant was served.
Saturday: Officers provided backup for a sheriff’s deputy. School zones were patrolled. A stranded motorist received assistance.
Officers issued 10 warning citations, served one notice to appear, and made four arrests.
