Oct. 19: School zones were patrolled. Property was recovered. Assistance was provided to Harvey County sheriff with a follow-up investigation. An injury accident was investigated. A business door was found unlocked.
Oct. 20: Officers investigated a suspicious odor. School zones were patrolled. A welfare check was provided. An unattended death was investigated. A non-injury accident was reported. A suspicious vehicle was checked. Property was returned to the owner. Officers responded to an activated alarm.
Oct. 21: School zones were patrolled. Several at-large dog reports were taken. A concerned citizen met with an officer regarding a civil matter. A parking complaint was checked. A driver was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license.
Oct. 22: School zones were patrolled. Two burglaries were reported. Complaints were filed on a dog and a snake. Sheriff’s deputies received assistance with sheep being out of a pen.
Oct. 23: Hillsboro police received assistance with follow-up investigations.
Oct. 24: An abandoned vehicle was checked. A civil standby was provided. A barking dog complaint was filed. Officers responded to a domestic dispute.
Oct. 25: School zones were patrolled. A parking complaint was checked. Battery was reported. Assistance was provided to a sheriff’s deputy with an individual walking on railroad tracks.
Oct. 26: School zones were patrolled. A dog complaint was checked. Officers responded to a possible burglary in progress.
Oct. 27: School zones were patrolled. Officers responded to a report of a sick raccoon. A civil standby was provided. Officers attended court hearings. A dog was picked up for running at-large. A non-injury accident was investigated.
Thursday: School zones were patrolled. Vehicle maintenance was conducted. A non-injury accident was reported. A welfare check was provided. A fire alarm at Marion Assisted Living was checked; no damage was reported. A concerned citizen met with an officer regarding a civil matter.
Friday: A burning complaint was checked. Officers participated in Night of the Rhino. A 911 hang-up was checked. Sheriff’s deputies received assistance with an injury accident. A domestic dispute resulted in two people being arrested. A second domestic dispute resulted in a foot chase and an individual being arrested.
Saturday: Officers responded to two domestic disputes; one person was arrested. A civil standby was provided. A noise complaint was checked.
Officers issued 14 warnings, served nine notices to appear, and made six arrests.
