Marion police officers worked on reports, conducted traffic stops, vehicle identification number inspections, and follow-up investigations, participated in training, and performed vehicle maintenance.
Sept. 5: Emergency medical services received assistance with a call. A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence. A domestic dispute was reported.
Sept. 6: Officers responded to a fire call. A dog running at-large was checked.

Sept. 10: School zones were patrolled. A runaway was reported. Officers met with the county attorney regarding cases.
Sept. 11: Funeral escorts were provided. An officer met with a concerned citizen. A civil standby was provided. Harassment by phone was reported. A hurt animal was reported and checked. A possible underage party was reported and checked. Response was given to a fireworks complaint. A possible burglary was investigated.
Sept. 12: An activated alarm was checked. Officers responded to a second activated alarm.
Sept. 13: School zones were patrolled. A citizen met with an officer regarding a civil dispute. A dog was picked up for running at-large. Officers conducted a storm watch. Assistance was provided in locating a possible suicidal person.
Sept. 14: School zones were patrolled. Officers met with the county attorney. A dog was reported running at-large. A student at OASIS was reportedly out of control. An arrest warrant was served. Radar was run on Cedar Street. Officers responded to St. Luke Hospital regarding an intoxicated person. Sheriff’s deputies received assistance with an inmate at the jail.
Sept. 15: A non-injury accident was investigated. A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. A 911 hang-up was checked. School zones were patrolled. A parent met with an officer.
Thursday: School zones were patrolled. Response was given to a fire alarm at Marion Elementary School. A fire alarm was activated at OASIS. A parking complaint at Cedar and Denver streets was checked.
Friday: Radar was run on Main Street. School zones were patrolled. A dog complaint was investigated. Officers responded to a fight and provided breathalyzer checks at Marion High School homecoming dance. A road hazard was removed from U.S. 56.
Saturday: Officers assisted with traffic at Art in the Park. A business door was found unlocked. A citizen met with an officer.
Officers issued 13 warnings, 12 notices to appear, and made four arrests.
