Marion Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) will sponsor a 2-mile fun run, half marathon, and half marathon relay for a second consecutive year. “Run For Your Momma” will be Aug. 14 at Marion County Park and Lake.

The half marathon and relay will begin at 6:30 a.m. Each runner of the two-member relay team will run one-half of the course. The fun run will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Participants will receive a T-shirt with the event logo. A post-race breakfast will be free to runners or $3 for spectators.

Registration will range from as $8 for runners 8-years-old or younger to $38 for a half marathon relay team until the July 21 early registration deadline. Runners 8-years-old or younger can run for free without receiving a T-shirt.

The top three finishers in each race will be recognized, and finishers in the half marathon will each receive a medal.
