Three natives from Marion County are candidates to graduate from the University of Kansas in December.

Caroline Collett and Alicen Whitaker, both of Marion will receive bachelor’s degrees in theatre and exercise science, respectively. Shannon Beckman of Peabody will receive a bachelor’s in nursing.

KU conducts only one formal commencement ceremony each year in May, however, some schools and programs conduct fall recognition ceremonies.
