Marion city clerk resigns
Marion City Clerk Angela Lange gave notice of her resignation to the city the afternoon of Dec. 19. City Administrator Roger Holter said Lange will work through the end of the year.
Lange’s written notice didn’t say why she was resigning, but she did say she will seek a career outside government, Holter said.
“She’s a great lady. She’s very well trained,” he said. “Financially, she’s very gifted.”
Holter said he and the rest of the city staff will hate to see her leave, but he wishes her good luck in her future career.
Lange’s experience and knowledge were very helpful during Holter’s transition from economic development director to interim and later long-term city administrator, he said.
