Marion and Centre will jointly field a boys swimming team for the first time this year. Three boys from Marion and one from Centre will make up the team.

“I am excited, and so are the boys,” coach Randy Carlson said.

“Our goal for the year is to make it to state and have a successful year.

“With this being the first season for the program, the boys have a chance to set the bar for the years to come.”

Tristen Dye will be the senior leader for the team. “When he wants something he goes and gets it,” Carlson said. “He also does a great job boosting others on the team as well.”

First meet will be this Thursday on the road at Newton.

“I’m excited to get this first one in the books,” Carlson said.
