Warriors and Trojans wrestling teams competed against 14 other teams Friday at the Marion County dual tournament at Hillsboro and Marion.

Marion coach Chad Adkins said he was pleased with the way Warriors wrestled. Marion finished the night with a 3-2 record, beating Fredonia 54-22, Rock Creek 51-21, and Douglas 60-21, but losing to Clay Center 33-39, and Burlington 33-45.

Hillsboro coach Scott O’Hare said Trojans needed to wrestle more physical and aggressive “if they want to rise to another level.”

The Trojans defeated West Elk 48-16 and Wabaunsee 48-24, and lost to Wellington 18-60, Chanute 21-48, and Riley County 27-54.
