Peabody Police arrested Alexader Beck, 19, of Newton in the early morning hours of Sept. 28 in Peabody, Police Chief Bruce Burke said. Beck is accused of rape of a juvenile.

The incident began in Peabody on Sept. 27. The victim gave her report to Peabody Police on Sept. 28.

According to Marion County Attorney Susan Robson, Beck appeared for a bond hearing Tuesday in Marion County District Court. His bond is set at $50,000 with electronic monitoring conditions, Robson said.

Beck has not been formally charged. The investigation is ongoing.
