Lorena Goossen, 79, of Goessel, died Oct. 15 at Hillsboro Community Hospital, Hillsboro.

Born Aug. 25, 1930, in Hillsboro, to John D. and Lydia (Wiebe) Pankratz, she married George Goossen Jr. July 21, 1951, in rural Goessel.

She was employed at Steven Springs, Newton, and a member of Grace Bible Church, McPherson.

Survivors include her husband, George; a son, Keith, of rural Peabody; two daughters, Sandra Blackmore of Newton and Kathy Woelk of Hillsboro; two brothers, Harvey of Newton and John of Overbrook; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Burial was Monday in Doyle Valley Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, with services following at Grace Bible Church with the Rev. Rich Duerksen presiding.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
