Lonnie Nickel

Services for Lonnie Nickel, 75, who died Friday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hillsboro’s Trinity Mennonite Church.

He was born March 13, 1944, in Goessel, to John and Olga Nickel.

Lonnie married Charlotte King on May 7, 1998, in Colorado.

Survivors include: wife Charlotte of Lincolnville; sons Kerry Nickel of Minneapolis, Kacey Nickel of Tampa, Don King of Toronto, Elmer King of Texas, and Wilfred King of Shawnee Mission; daughters Kim Poague of Salina, and Darlene Hubbard of Lincolnville; brothers Wesley Nickel and Leo Nickel; sister Lila Coop; and 18 grandchildren.

His brothers Johnnie Nickel and Willis Nickel preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established with Trinity Church.
