Locals awarded scholarships from Fort Hays
Three county students have been awarded scholarships from Fort Hays State University for the 2016-17 academic year.
Noah Jirgens of Lehigh accepted a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $500 academic opportunity award in political science, in which he plans to major.
McKenzee Remmers of Marion accepted a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award. Remmers plans to major in biology.
Markus Knight of Peabody accepted a $500 academic opportunity award in psychology, which he plans to major in.
