Lincolnville Octoberfest to celebrate “vintage harvest” with fashion pageant

“Vintage Harvest” will be the theme of Lincolnville Octoberfest on Oct. 7. A vintage fashion pageant on stage at 4 p.m. in the park will feature people wearing clothing commonly worn from the 1850s to 1970s.

Pre-registration forms will be available later.

The day will begin with a fun run at 8 a.m., with breakfast served in the community building by Centre High School class of 2019.

Maurice Pritz and family will open on-stage entertainment at 9 a.m.

After the 11 a.m. parade, the Octoberfest Prince and Princess will be announced.

Glory Road, a daughter and step-dad duo, will take the stage at noon, providing vocal and instrumental country and gospel music.

Centre after-prom will provide a noon lunch and concessions in the community building. A blue rock shoot will begin at the north edge of town.

Guitarist/vocalist John Richards will perform at 1 p.m., followed by a pie-eating contest.

A corn hole tournament will begin at 2 p.m.

At 3 p.m., Williams McCollum will tell stories about Scotland and play his bagpipe.

Food vendors, inflatables, a train, games, and more will be available until 5 p.m.

A beer garden next to the community building will open at 6 p.m. Hot dogs and snacks will be available.

A free dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight, with music provided by DJ in Dshadow, Jeannie Goza of Herington.
