Lifelong learning session is Friday

The plight of Palestinian Christians will be the focus for the first spring session of Tabor College Lifelong Learning on Friday in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center.

Former Tabor College President Larry Nikkel and U.S. Mennonite Brethren Southern District minister Tim Sullivan will share about their recent trips to Israel and their increased awareness and concern for Palestinian Christians.

“The complexity of the Israel-Palestine issue is beyond anything I have ever encountered,” Nikkel said. “The plight of the Christian Palestinians is truly heartbreaking. They are hated by Jews and totally ignored by other Palestinians.”

The session starts at 9:45 a.m., and the public is welcome. Fees are $5 per session. Semester rates for all Lifelong Learning sessions are $15 for individuals or $29 for couples. Lunch will be available for $4 in the college cafeteria after the session.
