Sorosis Beta Club recently secured a grant for the Peabody Township Library. The Peabody Community Foundation awarded the grant. It was used to purchase and install a 2.5-gallon water heater in the library kitchen.

According to Norma Patton, president of the library board, this improvement provides the only hot water source anywhere in the library.

Mark Whitney Enterprises did the work, thus keeping the money in the Peabody community.

The library hopes to extend plumbing to the upstairs workroom sink in the future and eventually to the bathroom sink.

“We extend our thanks and appreciation to the Sorosis Beta Club and the Peabody Community Foundation,” Patton said.
