Library offers heat relief

Peabody Township Library will welcome residents who need relief from high temperatures as summer heats up.

“The library board discussed this at their meeting on Thursday,” librarian Roger Charles said. “The air conditioning is on and working quite well, and we would like for the community to know people are welcome here.

“If someone is without air conditioning or if their unit goes out and they are waiting to get it fixed, the library has room for them.”

The library is closed Sunday and Monday, but open 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays; 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. For more information call (620) 983-2502.
