To the Editor:
It has been a weekend to remember in Peabody with the celebration of World War II memories and tributes.
There is another tribute and memory that needs to be recognized — Bob Marshall and all his kith and kin that made the weekend happen. They put in countless hours, recruited all the right people, and made unrecognized monetary contributions.
It was a treat to see the baton in Bob’s hand for “The Stars and Stripes Forever.” It was so appropriate to remember how many lives have been touched by Marshall music for many years now. My kids were lucky enough to have Bob as their music teacher and we still sometimes hear, “Mr. Marshall said …”
Thank you, Bob, and thanks for the memories!
