LETTERS: Reader enjoyed Operation Celebration

To the Editor:

Once again it is time to tip our hat to Shane Marler and all the members of the Peabody Main Street Association, and the many volunteers for their many hours of hard work to make this event a big success.

This makes it two years in a row and I hope it will keep going for many years to come. It was a good time for all the people from the area and many visitors from out of state.

It is always a great idea to show our respect and honor our veterans. This should be the duty of the people of this great country, not only on this day, but 24/7, 365 days a year. Being a person who spent four years of service for God and Country, it makes me proud to see our veterans receive the honors that they have coming to them.

Happy 20th birthday to the Peabody Main Street Association. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to Operation Celebration 2010!
