1939 PHS grad seeks information on classmates
May 5, 2008
Remember me, from Florida (some months ago I sent you a sign about computers)?
I have enjoyed your editorials and news in the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin. I hope I have your correct e-mail address. The reason for this e-mail is to ask you if you could place an article in the next issue of the paper, something to this effect:
Around this time of year, there are various yeas of graduates communication and getting together.
I have seen nothing in many years about my class of 1939. There may not be many of us left but I would like to hear from any of you and would be glad to send it on to others. We had a 50th reunion and that is the last I know of much contact.
Another suggestion would be to send your name and address, etc., to Susan and she could publish them in a subsequent article.
Even though we may not be able to get together for a reunion now, I am sure we would all enjoy hearing where and how you are and what you are doing to enjoy retirement.
My address is Maxine (Uphoff) Chartier, 2856 Sunset Blvd., Belleair Bluffs FL 33770, e-mail KB4QYF@juno .com or call me at 1-727-585-2497.”
If this is too lengthy, Susan, please rewrite it, but I hope to have some responses. Thank you so much for any consideration you can give this.
Maxine (Uphoff) Chartier
Peabody High School class of 1939
(Editor’s note: With Maxine’s permission her letter to the editor was held until a quarterly Main Street Newsletter went to press as they go to PHS alumni and we hoped her request would get a better response.)
