Revelation?

To the editor:

I’m not sure what qualifications were used to decide which businesses were “essential.” I believe that all businesses that meet God’s approval are essential.

I know that our business is essential to several institutions: our immediate family, our church, our community, our state, and our federal government.

By not allowing us to do business, the state has violated three inalienable rights in our Declaration of Independence and violated Biblical instructions found in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 and 1 Timothy 5:8.

“If anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.”

“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

I am confident that without businesses doing honest and Godly work, we are dooming this country to a state that presumes to be smarter than God and presumes to take His place as provider.

It is amazing to me how easily we were herded into subjugation. To think that this situation won’t happen again is naïve, noting how easy it was this time. We must be honest with ourselves.

Technology has brought us to the realities of the book of Revelation. We have the technological capability of tracking everyone, and it is being done in the name of safety or convenience.

Will the “mark of the beast” be a chip implanted or a card you will have to carry to prove you are safe to be around?

Make no mistake: This is a spiritual battle we are in. Are our churches complicit in this as well? Does the church even believe anymore that Jesus’ name is above all names and at His name all names that are named must bow in subjugation?

This virus has a name, doesn’t it?

We are, in my personal observation, at the tipping point. Will we, as inheritors of liberty, give it up, or will we stand with pen in hand, with e-mail capability, and reclaim what so many have done with their lives and their fortunes in order to provide us with a Godly heritage?

How will our legacy be viewed? How will we answer to God for the talents He has given us? Will He call us a good and faithful steward?
