Leland E. Chizek, 86, of Lincolnville died Feb. 7, 2012 in Wichita.

He was born Nov. 27, 1925, in Agenda to Edward V. and Martha (Hajek) Chizek.

He farmed in the Lincolnville and Pilsen area. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, worked in oil fields, and drove tractor-trailers for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolina Chizek.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, in Pilsen. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, is assisting with arrangements.
