Learning in Retirement begins Friday

The first session of spring semester of Learning in Retirement will be at 9:50 a.m. Friday at Tabor College.

Lori Walsh of Wichita will share experiences as a former preacher’s daughter who married a man in Christian ministries. She has led many retreats and programs.

Walsh and her family moved from California to Kansas four years ago, settling in Wichita, where she lived as a child. She works as an admissions representative at Tabor’s School of Adult and Graduate Studies in Wichita. Her husband, Chris, was Executive Pastor at Wichita First Mennonite Brethren Church until October, when he began serving as director of Tonto Rim Christian Camp in Arizona.

Prior to moving to Kansas, Lori’s family lived for 10 years in the mountains near Yosemite National Park at Sugar Pine Christian Camps, where Chris was executive director and Lori was women’s ministry coordinator.

Learning in Retirement meets in the lobby of Wohlgemuth Music Education Center. Registration for the entire series is $15 for an individual or $29 per couple. Admission is $4 to individual sessions.

For more information, contact Connie Isaac, coordinator, at (620) 947-5964, or conniei@tabor.edu.
