Learn safe food handling
Roughly one in six Americans get sick from food borne diseases, with 3,000 dying annually
With Americans eating out more than ever before, it’s imperative that food workers are trained and supervised in safe food handling, preparing, preserving and serving.
ServSafe program is a national certification program designed to teach safe food handling practices to people who handle and serve food to the public.
A free ServSafe class is available to Marion County residents 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and Sept. 26 at Marion Community Building.
To register or for more information, contact Marion County Extension at (620) 382-2523.
