LaVern Schroeder

Services for LaVern Allen Schroeder, 87, who died Nov. 7, 2019, at Asbury Park in Newton, were Sunday at Alexanderwohl Church.

He was born Aug. 15, 1932, to Alvin and Marie Schmidt Schroeder in Goessel. He married Jane Frey Sept. 19, 1953, in Goessel.

Survivors include sons Mark Schroeder of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Mike Schroeder of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Craig Schroeder of Wichita; daughter Amy Schroeder Hiebert, of Middletown, Connecticut; sister, Hilma Schroeder of Mesa, Arizona; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his wife Jane Schroeder in 2018.

Memorials have been established with the church.
