Larsen family members met Sept. 7 for an annual reunion. The families enjoyed a luncheon at the Burns Community Building. Everyone shared in their Kansas and Danish history with a display of family photos, genealogy, and memory books. This year’s reunion was hosted by Ted and Phyllis Ericson of Lincoln, Neb.

Descendants of Jacob Hansen Larsen who attended were Lowell Larsen of Burns; Clyde and Lois Larsen of Garnett; Ted and Phyllis Ericson of Lincoln, Neb.; Bruce, Joyce, Milton, Willard, and David Larsen and Kay Drennen, all of Wichita; and Cordell and Audrey Larsen of Andover.

Descendants of James Hans Larsen were Wayne Larsen of Haysville; Mike McClure of Halstead; Betty Larsen and Larry and Shirley McClure of Hutchinson; and Marvin Larsen and Arlene Kerchhofer of Peabody.

Descendants of Lena Caroline (Larsen) Petersen attending were Robert and Leah Sellers of Florence and Lawrence Andres of Peabody.

Descendants of Mary Ann (Larsen) Clubine included Frank and Caroline Clubine of Iola.

Family members who had died during the previous year were remembered.

The reunion is held each year on the Sunday following Labor Day. The next reunion will be Sept. 13, 2009, at the Burns Community Center.
