Larry G. Goering, 74, of Ayden, N.C., died Nov. 10 after an illness.

Born April 11, 1936, in Moundridge, he graduated from Peabody High School in 1955.

He served eight years in the U.S. Navy and visited 22 countries.

He retired from Mercer Glass Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ayden.

His parents, John B. and Jessie (Schrag) Goering; seven brothers, Walter, Alvin, Bill, Dan, Herb, Art, and Ralph; and two sisters, Elva and Frieda Regier, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Hildred; a son, Lawrence of Rocky Mount, N.C.; four brothers, John of Gresham, Ore., Leonard of Newton, James of Dayton, Va., and his twin, Harry of Menifee, Calif.; and two sisters, Martha Sundgren of North Newton and Jessie Epp of Goessel.

Memorials have been established with First Baptist Church, 628 Third St, Ayden NC 28513 and Trinity Christian School, 3111 Golden Road, Greenville NC 27858-4920.
