Lalouette-Crawford wins commission seat by 1 vote

Republican Lori Lalouette-Crawford won the 1st District Marion County Commission seat by one vote over independent Craig Dodd, 676 to 675.

Provisional ballots were counted and results certified this morning (Monday) at the county commission meeting.

Either candidate can request a recount by 5 p.m. Wednesday. A bond of $200 is required for a machine recount; recounting ballots by hand requires a $500 bond.
