The 74th annual Florence Labor Day weekend celebration had good crowds and nice weather. The only hiccup was a downpour at the end of the street dance on Saturday.
This year’s main event on Saturday was “It’s Magic,” a magic and comedy performance by T.A. Hamilton. From mind reading to the guillotine, he left the audience laughing.
Sunday featured events for children — sidewalk chalk art contest, bike decorating contest, and YCAT art fun.
The annual Labor Day parade on Monday featured floats with the theme “Celebrating Kansas’ 150th Birthday.”
