Juniors to take PSAT

All Peabody-Burns High School juniors will take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test on the morning of Oct. 12.

The test helps prepare students for the SAT college entrance exam and is used to identify students who qualify for National Merit Scholarships.

The test also provides practice in test-taking skills. Students will take the test during the school day in a separate location. Afterward they will return to school for lunch and afternoon classes.

All parents and guardians of juniors will receive a letter with more information from school social worker Sara Grout. The school encourages parents to remind their children to get plenty of rest the night before and to eat a healthy breakfast the morning of the test.

For more information, contact Grout at (620) 983-2196.
