Jeanetta Farr

Former beautician Jeanetta E. Farr, 79, died Saturday at Asbury Park in Newton.

Services were to be this morning at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Peabody, with inurnment at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

She was born Feb. 28, 1936, to Henry J. and Ollie Lena (Riffel) Deines in Dickinson County. She married Stanley R. Farr on April 26, 1953, in Chapman.

The Farrs were members of the Peabody community for nearly 60 years. Jeanetta owned and operated Jeanetta’s Beauty Salon and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Peabody.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Randy Farr; sister, Arlene Hubnik; and brothers, Harlan and Lester Deines.

She is survived by daughters Brenda Hague of Newton and Jaclyn Voight of Leawood; sons Gary Farr of Clearwater, Florida, and Daniel Farr of Merriam; brother Dale Deines of Salina; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established with Peabody High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, and Asbury Park.
