Jason Unruh begins assignment with MCC

Jason Unruh of Peabody has begun a two-year assignment with Mennonite Central Committee as a meat canner operator in Akron, Pa.

Unruh has an associate degree from Hesston College and a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Kansas State University. He previously attended Tabor Mennonite Church of Newton, and he participated in orientation in July at the MCC offices in Akron.

MCC is a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches. MCC staff usually work in partnership with local churches and community organizations. There are currently about 1,100 MCC workers in 48 countries.
