Jacob B. Lenz, Jr., husband of devoted wife Kathy Marie Lenz, was born in Vancouver, Washington on June 9, 1943 to Jacob B. Lenz, Sr. and Blanche (Keith) Lenz.

He served in the Army, spending four years in Vietnam where he earned many meritorious medals and badges.

Jacob was a proud and active member of Peabody VFW Post 6229 for the past 23 years.

He passed away on March 27, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Wichita, leaving behind his wife, of the home; son Jacob D. Lenz and fiancée Danielle Johnson of Peabody; daughters Cynthia Renollet and Cheryl (Donald) Duart of Wichita; brother Laurel Lenz, Sr.; sisters Ellen Jenks and Eleanor Chase; sister-in-law Deolores Lenz; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

Predeceasing him were three infant grandchildren in 1992, 2008, and 2009.

Jacob greatly loved all his family and wishes all of them a beautiful, peaceful life.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3 at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody with Pastor Rodger Charles officiating.
