Irvin C. Mosiman, 86, of Whitewater, died Jan. 23, at Newton Medical Center after a short bout with cancer.
Born Dec. 6, 1923, in rural Peabody, to Christian C. and Mary (Nickel) Mosiman, he worked at Vicker’s Refinery in Potwin and Derby Refinery in Wichita.
He married Laverne (Merritt) Kitterman on June 29, 1946, in Whitewater.
He was a member of the Federated Church in Whitewater.
His parents; a brother, Howard; a sister, Marjorie Lewis; a son, Sam Kitterman; and a grandson, Sam C. Kitterman, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne; a son, Roger, of Halstead; a daughter, Mary Jo Kitterman of Newton; a sister, Frieda Lee; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Federated Church, Whitewater.
Burial will follow at Whitewater Cemetery.
