Anyone interested in bowling in a league during the fall and winter months is invited to attend an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Friday at Peabody Lanes.
“Last year we bowled on Wednesdays, but that night was a conflict for several people who wanted to be in a league,” Peabody Lanes co-owner Tim Peterson said. “We have been thinking about switching nights, but to be fair, we want to give everyone a chance to have input about the schedule.”
Fall and winter bowling leagues will start at 7 p.m. the week of Sept. 8, on the night or nights selected by bowlers. Peabody Lanes owners Peterson and Dick Alcorn hope to be able to offer men’s and women’s leagues and a youth league.
“Usually a youth league bowls on a weekend because of nighttime conflicts,” Peterson said. The bowling alley also allows open bowling on Saturdays.
A short winter league of 9-Pin No Taps will begin on Dec. 3.
