The sheriff’s office reported the following incidents:
Theft
Wilbur Leppke, 1678 100th Road, Peabody, reported someone entered his residence at 12:30 a.m. March 21 and removed $350 in cash from his wallets. The suspect was working for the victim and had been staying at the residence.
Marion police reported the following incidents:
Thefts
A 1994 Honda passenger car was stolen from 106 W. Main St., Marion, and reported Feb. 28. Adam Kyle Trapp of Manhattan reported the theft, which was valued at $1,500. The car was recovered March 12.
Justin Wayne Cogdill, 211 Vine St., Marion, reported the theft of a Smith & Wesson .22A caliber pistol Feb. 28 taken from his residence. The loss was valued at $250.
Criminal damage to property
A mailbox, valued at $50, was knocked from its post. Heather Looney, 516 S. Third St., Marion, reported the incident March 20. The loss was estimated at $50.
Disorderly conduct
Echo E. Penwell, 112 Jefferson St., Marion, reported someone yelled at her March 21 at 423 E. Main St., Marion.
