Robert Call

Former Marion resident  Robert Matthew Franklin Call was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Wichita and passed away to be with his Lord on Nov. 4 in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was cremated and his ashes are in Kansas City’s National Cemetery mausoleum.

After getting out of the army, Bob married Cora McCarty on Oct. 31, 1954, in Marion. They made their home in many areas of the United States with his work with the FAA as an electronic technician. 

When he retired, he had taken many college courses toward becoming a Methodist minister, returning to Marion, and serving a church in Lincolnville.

Due to age and health, Bob and Cora moved to Kansas City to be close to their daughter, later selling their home and moving into assisted living close by.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 65 years, Cora, of the home; daughter Abby Call, Kansas City; son Matt Call, Hartford, North Carolina; and granddaughter Millissa Call Harl.
