Patsy Ford

No memorial service is planned for Patricia Ann “Patsy” Ford, 84, of North Newton, Kansas, who went to be with the Lord on Dec. 15, 2022, after battling with Alzheimer’s.

Per her wishes, her body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical School for medical and scientific research.

Patricia was born April 6, 1938, to Andrew and Margaret (Adrian) Boese in Newton.

She was a housewife for many years and raised her two sons. She lived her adult life in Marion till 1976, when the family moved to North Newton.

After her sons went away to college, she went to work for Bethel College Church in North Newton.

She then went to work at Halstead Hospital in Halstead. She worked there until the hospital was closed.

After Halstead Hospital, she worked for Kidron Bethel Village retirement community of North Newton.

Patricia was a loving mother, wife, aunt, sister, and daughter. She leaves behind her legacy of hard work, strong work ethic, loyalty, honesty, dedication, and perseverance.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Lawrence Ray Ford and Roger Dale Ford; her sister, Florine Tripp; her sister-in-law, Barbara Boese, along with multiple nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ray Allen Boese and Donald Lee Boese, and an infant sister, Margaret.

The family wishes to offer a very special thank you to the amazing staff of ComfortCare Homes of Newton, Enhabit Hospice of Wichita, and Rivercross Hospice of Wichita.

Remembrances may be made in the form of contributions of support to the above-listed hospices or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
