Linda Britton-Heath

Memorial services for Linda P. Britton-Heath, 76, who died July 17 in her home in Florence, will be 10 a.m. Aug. 12, 2023, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.

She was a professional welder at Hesston and a businesswoman, managing Chuck Wagon. She also worked for the state transporting children and volunteered for many of Florence community projects.

She identified and mapped all lots in Hillcrest Cemetery. She volunteered as a cook and server, helping with Harvey House and Florence Historical Society. She organized and prepared the Florence birthday calendar and was an excellent friend you could count on.

Linda was born Jan. 28, 1947, in Newton and was a lifelong resident of Florence.

Survivors include sister Nelta Harder of Emporia and brother and sister-in-law David and Beatrice Britton of Bellevue, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by husband Joe Calvin Heath, parents Howard and Josephine (Seeney) Britton, brother-in-law P.T. Harder, brothers Leroy and Raymond Britton, sister Jane Muncy,and brother-in-law Gene Muncy.
