John Garrard

The full and good life of John K. Garrard, Antelope, Kansas, will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Jan. 26 at Marion Community Center, 203 N. 3rd St.

John was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on
March 10, 1936. He finished his life journey on Jan. 17, 2019, in Marion, surrounded by his loving family.

He graduated from Lamar High School, Lamar, Colorado, on June 1, 1955.

He married Rosemary Dody on June 2, 1955.

Born to this union and surviving are John B. Garrard and his wife, Sandra, of Antelope; Debbie Hardey and her husband, Randy, of Goessel; Jo Mead and her husband, Steve, of Wichita; and Robin
Arocha and her husband, Joe, of Marion.

He was proud of his 11 grandchildren and 17 great-
grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, six sisters, and his wife, Rosemary.

John will be
remembered for his humor, for his musical skills on the harmonica, and for being a fisherman extraordinaire and gardener.

He was known for sharing his garden produce and fishing acumen with friends and neighbors.
