Gary Grimes

Graveside services for Gary Grimes, 57, who died surrounded by family Jan. 23, 2024, in Pratt, will be 11 a.m. Feb. 17 at Marion Cemetery.

Gary was born Sept. 11, 1966, in Hutchinson to William E. and Janet L. (Holub) Grimes.

He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1985 and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Pittsburg State University in 1991

Gary pursued his 25-year career as an electronic technician with a Wichita electronics company.

He was an astrology and bicycling enthusiast and loved his pets, camping, and everything electronic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Janet Grimes, and nephew William D. Grimes. 

Gary is survived by brother Loren Grimes of Hutchinson, sister Sharon Grimes, niece Amanda Petz, and great-nieces and great-nephew Laney and Adrienne Petz and William Willard, all of Pratt.
