C.R. Moulton

Services for Marion native Charles Ross “C.R” Moulton, Jr., 90, who passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at Bethany Home in Lindsborg, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Emmanuel Foursquare Church, 1325 E. Cloud St., Salina.

Pastor Blaine Herron officiated. Interment and committal service followed at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

C.R. was born June 4, 1932, in Salina to Charles Ross, Sr. and Margaret Floy (Stretcher) Moulton.

He married Carol Jean Schambron on Aug. 19, 1956, at Marion.

C.R. graduated from Marion High School. He then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

After his military service, he attended college at Emporia State University. He moved to Salina and briefly worked for Midstate Armature Works before going to work at Wilson & Company Inc., engineers and architects. He worked there as an electrical technician until he retired.

C.R. was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, and sisters Edna Blackim, Gladys Lester, and Margaret Barr.

Survivors include his daughters Mary Kersey (and husband Neal) of Bennington, Jane Robertson (and husband Jon) of Salina, and Donna Moulton; son John Moulton (and wife Jean) of Salina; Dana Hill of Salina, who was like a daughter to him; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
