An 18-month, renovation construction project began Monday at St. Luke Hospital.
More than 20,000 square feet will be added or affected.
The $6.5 million project will be funded by revenue bonds and a capital campaign by the hospital’s foundation. To date, the foundation has raised more than $820,000.
The foundation recently was awarded $250,000 through a state tax credit program that could assure more than $1 million is raised toward the project.
Hutton Construction of Wichita will be project manager. Spangenberg Phillips Tice of Wichita was the architecture firm for the project.
