Hospital auxiliary has record profit

St. Luke Hospital and Living Center Auxiliary held its annual meeting Thursday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church. President-elect Elora Robinson welcomed attendees and Claudia Allison gave the invocation.

During the business meeting, Robinson explained the printed reports of the auxiliary activities, which showed a profit of $48,105.87 for 2009.

Shoppe volunteers were recognized and leaders were introduced. Rosemary Garrard, Evelyn Bredemeier, and Joyce Richmond presented a check for $60,000 to Jeremy Armstrong and Janet Herzet for the St. Luke Foundation.

Bea Kelsey of the nominating committee announced the proposed officers for the year. They are President, Robinson; President-elect, Peggy Blackman; Vice president, JoAnn Fitzpatrick; Secretary, Judy Dannenfelser; and Treasurer, Eileen Sieger. A motion carried to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot.

Keith Collett sang songs related to transportation methods. He was accompanied by Keith Allison.
