coming to Marion
The musical “Singin’ in the Rain” will come to life this weekend at Marion High School.
A lighthearted look at Hollywood in the 1920s as silent movies gave way to “talkies,” the musical will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Chance Shults will play Cosmo Brown, the best friend of Hollywood movie star Don Lockwood, and Sara Groening will play Lina Lamont, Lockwood’s conniving costar. Instructor Ruth Springer used scenes from the play during a weeklong Broadway and stage summer camp at the high school.
Tickets are $5 each.
