Police report
June 25: A theft report was taken in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street; a person reported personal items were taken by her estranged husband when he left. Officers mediated a child custody dispute in the 300 block of S. Ash Street. A prowler complaint on Park Place was checked.
June 26: Officers responded to a report of an unauthorized fire in the 200 block of North Main Street. An attempted phone scam was reported in the 400 block of South Floral Drive. A commercial alarm in the 200 block of North Main Street was checked.
June 27: A commercial alarm was checked in the 200 block of North Main Street. A person reported an attempted phone scam. Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff with cattle on the roadway.
June 28: Officers worked a pedestrian vs. car accident at the corner of Grand Avenue and Washington Street; the pedestrian was not injured and the vehicle was not damaged. Suspicious activity was reported at Hillsboro swimming pool; there was a welfare concern for a small child. A commercial alarm was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street.
June 29: Officers took a harassment complaint in the 500 block of West Grand Avenue. Officers mediated a child custody dispute in the 300 block of South Ash Street. Officers took a harassment complaint in the 700 block of South Main Street. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of South Wilson Street; it was a verbal argument between two unrelated females. A subject in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street called 911 requesting transportation to an alcohol treatment center; the person was intoxicated and refused medical help.
