Dec. 5: A parking complaint was checked. An abandoned bicycle was recovered. A shoplifting complaint was investigated in the 600 block of North Ash Street; store management discovered the person and charges are pending against a former employee. Officers took an attempted shoplifting complaint in Hillsboro Heights. A civil process was served. Officers assisted Social and Rehabilitative Services with an investigation.
Dec. 6: Officers assisted Tabor College with follow up on several stolen electronic items. A suspicious vehicle was checked. Officers performed a welfare check.
Dec. 7: Officers performed a motorist assist. Officers assisted Tabor College with an internal investigation. A non-injury accident was worked. An arrest warrant was served in the 300 block of West Third Street.
Thursday: Officers assisted Marion County Emergency Medical Services. A vehicle theft was reported. Officers worked a non-injury accident. A dog complaint was checked. A parking complaint was checked. An abandoned bicycle was recovered. Suspicious activity was checked at the sewer lagoons. A broken gas main was reported at First and Adams streets.
Friday: A delusional person was checked in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A civil process was served. Suspicious behavior was checked in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. Officers performed a motorist assist. A welfare concern was conducted. An abandoned vehicle complaint was checked at Tabor College. Suspicious activity in the 100 block of South Main Street was checked.
Saturday: A gas skip was checked in the 500 block of East D Street. A dog complaint was checked. Officers worked with a community service worker. A physical altercation was reported in the 100 block of North Birch Street; an adult female reported she was assaulted by another female during a property dispute.
