Nov. 14: Officers performed a funeral escort. A person was fingerprinted for employment. A parking complaint was checked. Officers performed a motorist assist at D Street and Prairie Point; a truck had backed into a ditch and needed to be pulled out. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of E. Grand.
Nov. 15: A motorist assist was performed. Officers attended safety training at city hall. Officers attended city council meeting. A traffic complaint was taken at First and Adams.
Nov. 16: All department breath testers were calibrated. Officers evaluated a Hillsboro High School on the job training student. A theft was reported at Tabor College; a subject reported that a laptop computer had been stolen from a dorm room. A parking complaint was filed. Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff with a fatality accident.
Thursday: Officers assisted Social and Rehabilitative Services with an investigation. A traffic complaint was checked. A noise complaint in the 500 block of East First Street was checked; a subject reported that there was a vehicle in front of his house honking and attempting to start a confrontation; officers received another report and were unable to locate anything.
Friday: Officers assisted with a traffic complaint. A dog complaint was checked. A school reported a truant student. Officers checked a 911 disconnect at Tabor College. A brush fire along the railroad tracks near west city limits was reported; fire officials determined it to be arson.
Saturday: A dog complaint was checked. Officers attended firearms training at the range. A parking complaint was checked in Hillsboro Heights.
