Dec. 20: A welfare check was provided in the 300 block of North Cedar Street. Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of West Grand Avenue. Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services adult services received assistance with an investigation.
Dec. 21: Underage smokers were checked near Hillsboro High School. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. An individual reported someone had broken into several exterior doors in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. No dorm rooms were entered and nothing was missing. A dog complaint was filed in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Dec. 22: Suspicious activity was checked in the 400 block of South Birch Street. A traffic complaint was filed at D and Ash streets. A curfew violation was reported in Memorial Park.
Dec. 23: The K-9 unit attended training. Suspicious activity was checked in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street. A parking complaint was reported in the 400 block of South Adams Street.
Dec. 24: A residential alarm was activated in the 100 block of North Birch Street. A possible break-in was investigated in the 400 block of South Ash Street but officers did not find any signs of forced entry or suspicious activity.
Dec. 25: An individual was reportedly locked out of a vehicle in the 800 block of East C Street. Assistance was provided to Marion County Sheriff’s Department with a civil dispute. Information was received of a delayed accident report. Assistance was provided with a vehicle lockout at Marion Reservoir and a reckless driving complaint on Kanza Road. A possible suicidal individual was reported at Hillsboro Community Hospital.
Dec. 26: Dog complaints were filed at C and Adams streets and in the 300 block of South Wilson Street. Oklahoma authorities received assistance with an investigation.
Dec. 27: Assistance was provided with a traffic complaint on U.S. 56. A child was reportedly locked in a vehicle in the 300 block of South Washington Street. A dog complaint was checked in the downtown area.
Dec. 28: Officers assisted with a reckless driving complaint on Indigo Road. A verbal confrontation between two families was reported in the 300 block of South Ash Street. Officers attended safety training at city hall.
Dec. 29: authorities are investigating a possible child sexual abuse case. Stafford Police Department received assistance with an investigation. Children were reported throwing snowballs at passing vehicles on D Street. A court services officer received assistance with home visits. A dog complaint was reported in downtown.
Dec. 30: A motorist received assistance at Adams and D streets. Possible underage drinking was reported in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Thursday: A funeral escort was provided. A transient was checked on U.S. 56. Hillsboro City Council packets were delivered to councilmembers. The sheriff’s department received assistance with a computer fraud complaint. An individual was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a routine traffic stop. An activated commercial alarm in Hillsboro Heights was checked. Assistance was provided with an air ambulance.
Friday: Possible underage drinking and tobacco usage was reported in the 200 block of North Main Street. Assistance was provided to a child locked out of a residence in the 300 block of North Birch Street. A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Wilson Street.
Saturday: A parking complaint was filed in the 100 block of North Wilson Street. A juvenile female reported being raped by an acquaintance while visiting a friend in Hillsboro.
