Police report

Oct. 18: A camper hook-up was provided in Memorial Park. Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance with a gas spill in the 500 block of East D Street. An individual was found lying in a grassy area and apparently had collapsed the day before while walking across a field. Assistance was provided to emergency medical services personnel in the 600 block of East E Street.

Oct. 19: Assistance was provided to Scotts Bluff, Neb., Police Department with an investigation. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with cattle on U.S. 56. An unruly customer was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street when he yelled at a clerk and damaged a sign. A dead deer was removed from U.S. 56. A suspicious person was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street.

Oct. 20: An out-of-control juvenile was reported in the 300 block of South Main Street. Assistance was provided to the sheriff’s department with a reckless driving complaint on Indigo Road. A dog complaint was filed at Grand Avenue and Birch Street. A traffic complaint was checked in the 100 block of North Ash Street.

Oct. 21: A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Main Street. A juvenile complaint was investigated in the 300 block of South Main Street. A suspicious vehicle was checked in the 400 block of North Jefferson Street.

Thursday: A child custody dispute was reported in the 400 block of South Ash Street. A civil standby was conducted in the 400 block of South Ash Street. An individual reported that someone had entered his apartment in the 400 block of South Ash Street and removed a game player and television. An officer located and removed stolen property from an individual at Tabor College. The item had been taken in Nebraska.

Friday: An individual reported a truck had damaged his drive and city property in the 500 block of North Adams Street. A report of forced entry and damage to a vacant residence in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street was determined to not have occurred. Further investigation revealed that the residence was being remodeled by new owners. An individual reported someone had entered his dormitory room at Tabor College and removed more than $900 worth of video games and players. A K-9 police unit assisted Kansas Highway Patrol with a vehicle search and searched another vehicle for drugs during a traffic stop.

Saturday: A dog complaint was filed in the 400 block of West B Street. A salesman was reported selling door-to-door without a permit. Kansas Highway Patrol received assistance with a suspicious person on Indigo Road.
