Aug. 16: Suspicious activity was checked in the 300 block of South Ash Street. A motorist received assistance at Ash Street and Grand Avenue.

Aug. 17: An out-of-control juvenile was reported in the 300 block of South Main Street. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a motorist on U.S. 56. Hillsboro High School reported a truant student. A person was reported missing in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street. The individual was located four days later and had left voluntarily.

Aug. 18: Assistance was provided when a child was locked in a vehicle in the 600 block of South Lincoln Street. A background investigation was conducted for an outside agency. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A court services officer received assistance with an investigation.

Aug. 19: A protection from abuse order was violated in the 100 block of South Adams Street. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a civil process. A Nebraska resident reported that he or she had received harassing telephone calls from a Hillsboro resident. A skunk was reported in Hillsboro Heights. Response was given to an out-of-control adult in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A parking complaint was filed in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street.

Aug. 20: An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. Lost property was returned to the owner. A parking complaint was reported in the 100 block of North Birch Street.

Aug. 21: An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. A parking complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Main Street. Underage tobacco use was reported near Hillsboro High School. Officers qualified for firearms at the gun range. A parking complaint was reported in the 400 block of South Main Street. Court services officers received assistance with home visits. A civil complaint was filed in the 400 block of North Jefferson Street.

Aug. 22: Traffic control was provided for marathon. A runaway juvenile was reported in the 500 block of South Washington Street. Emergency medical services workers received assistance in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue and the 200 block of South Lincoln Street. Assistance was provided to a motorist in the 500 block of East D Street.

Aug. 23: A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with an investigation. Reckless driving was reported.

Aug. 24: Lost property was returned to the owner. A dog bite was reported in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street. A dog complaint was filed in the 100 block of South Lincoln Street. Kansas Highway Patrol received assistance with a drug arrest.

Aug. 25: Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of South Madison Street. A protection order violation was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street.

Aug. 26: A dog complaint was reported in the 500 block of South Main Street. Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitative Services received assistance with an investigation. An altered and forged check was reported by a business in Hillsboro Heights.

Thursday: SRS and Wichita Police Department received assistance with investigations. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. Assistance was provided to a sheriff’s deputy with an injury accident and to McPherson Police Department with serving an arrest warrant.

Friday: A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of South Main Street. A suspicious phone call was investigated in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street. A parking complaint was filed in the 700 block of West Grand Avenue.

Saturday: Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Lincoln Street. A traffic complaint was filed in the 900 block of East D Street. Someone reportedly took an Xbox game player and cash from a dorm room in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. The loss was estimated at approximately $390.
